Trade
Your trade workspace
Private, anonymous matches between your wants and other collectors’ offers — every match is discovery, not a commitment.
How trading works here
- Match ≠ request. A match just shows you a Douglas another collector made available.
- Request ≠ agreement. Sending a request is an ask — the other collector can decline it.
- Agreement ≠ completed trade. Even once both say yes, an exchange still moves through approval and a guided, on-platform preparation step. DouglasExchange never opens private contact between collectors and holds no payment.
Opportunities
Trade opportunities
A Douglas you want that another collector has made available. Mutual trades — where you each want something the other has — are marked Mutual trade. Requesting a trade starts a private ask; it is never an agreement.
Needs your reply
Requests requiring my action
Another collector has asked about a Douglas you made available. Accepting moves this to the next structured step — approval, then a guided, on-platform exchange. It is not a completed trade and it never opens private contact. We never reveal who asked.
Your asks
Requests I’ve sent
Requests you started. A request you have sent is only an ask — you can withdraw it while it is still open, and the other collector may decline it.
Preparing exchange
Exchanges you’re preparing
An exchange both collectors agreed to and that has cleared every required approval. Preparing an exchange is the step before you arrange the handover privately — it is never a finished, paid, or shipped trade, and we still never show you who the other collector is.
Your offers
My available Douglas
Owning a Douglas never makes it available. Each of these is one you chose to open for trade or sale — open any specimen to change or withdraw its availability.
Your wants
My wants
Your wishlist is what every match here is found from. The more Douglas you add, the more opportunities can surface — privately, and only from other collectors’ explicit offers.
A guided, consent-first way to arrange the handover itself — with confirmation on both sides — arrives in a later stage. Until then, every collector’s identity stays private and DouglasExchange never touches payment, shipping, or addresses.
